Psychotherapy in Cardiff: About Me

I‘m a fully qualified psychotherapist based in Cardiff, passionate about helping people connect more deeply with themselves, others, and the world around them in a way that feels meaningful and fulfilling. Reaching out for support can feel daunting, and my goal is to provide a warm, compassionate, and supportive space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions.

How I Work as a Therapist

I practice integrative psychotherapy, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches to tailor the process to your unique needs. What works for one person may not work for another, so together we’ll find what feels right for you. My approach is holistic, taking into account your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Through our work, I aim to help you develop self-awareness and create meaningful, lasting changes in your life.

Above all, my style is warm, gentle, and compassionate. I listen without judgement, striving to truly understand your experiences and help you better understand yourself.

My Background

I hold an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy from the University of South Wales and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). As a BACP member, I adhere to their ethical framework and am committed to continuous professional development. I regularly attend training and stay up to date with the latest research in psychotherapy and mental health.

I have completed specialist training in autism support, provided by the National Autistic Society, including a focus on autism in women and girls. My training equips me to provide autism-aware therapy.

Sessions and Fees

I offer 50-minute individual therapy sessions for £60, payable in advance via bank transfer. Sessions are available in-person in Cardiff or online via Microsoft Teams. We can work together short-term or long-term, depending on your needs, with flexibility to review as we go.

I offer therapy in Cardiff and online therapy across the UK, working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

  • In-person sessions: Held in a comfortable, private room near Cardiff city centre. Located at the junction of central Cardiff, Riverside, and Canton, with free on-street parking and nearby 2-hour parking available.

  • Online sessions: Available via Microsoft Teams for early morning or evening appointments, offering flexibility around your schedule.

As the therapeutic relationship is a key factor in successful therapy, I offer a free introductory call via Microsoft Teams. This gives us a chance to meet and determine if I’m the right therapist for you.

To arrange an introductory call or to book your first session, please get in touch via email or the contact form below.

Who I Work With

I work with a diverse range of clients, from those struggling with specific challenges like depression and anxiety, to those seeking personal development and self-understanding. Talking therapy can be beneficial for many aspects of life, including emotional struggles, personal growth, and relationship dynamics.

I have specialist experience working with:

  • Neurodivergent individuals: My approach is neurodivergent-affirming, helping you embrace your neurodiversity and approach life in a way that works for you. I have received extensive training in supporting autistic individuals, including autistic women and girls, as well as those with ADHD, sensory processing disorder, dyspraxia, and other neurodivergences. I also have experience supporting late-diagnosed individuals who may need help processing their diagnosis or adjusting to life through a new lens.

  • Ethnic minorities: With a culturally sensitive approach, I have worked with clients from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, providing tailored support that acknowledges and respects cultural differences.

While these are areas of specialty, I welcome working with individuals from all backgrounds and experiences. Whatever you’re dealing with, I’m here to support you in your journey.
